Pinemeadow Golf Club Review – Are They Legit?

If you’re reading this review you’ve likely stumbled across the incredibly inexpensive Pinemeadow golf clubs. These clubs come at such a low price point many consumers wonder how they will hold up on the course. Our Pinemeadow golf club Review will break down everything you need to know before purchasing these clubs.

Pinemeadow Golf Set Review

pinemeadow golf club review

The first Pinemeadow golf product we’re going to review is their complete golf set. This set is a fantastic choice for beginner golfers looking to get into the game without breaking the bank.

What’s Included

  • Driver, 3 Wood, Hybrid, 6 Irons from 5 to PW
  • Graphite Shaft On Driver And Three Wood
  • 3 Headcovers

Included in this set is almost every club you would need to fill out your bag. The only club missing from this set to make it complete is a putter. Though if you decide to go with the Pinemeadow Brand again you purchase an inexpensive one here.

Throughout our research, we found the overall quality of the clubs to be quite good for the price tag. Though these clubs do not compare to name brand options, they offer you everything you need from an inexpensive set.

Club Count

A professional golfer usually carries 14 clubs. Though this set has everything you need you will notice it has a few fewer clubs than a full brand name set would include.

That being said this amount of clubs is normal for a starter set and if you are looking to learn the game it won’t make much of a difference.

Forgiveness

Another great feature of this golf club set is that it is built for beginners and high handicap golfers. We know this because these clubs were built to have a high level of forgiveness.

Forgiveness refers to how well the clubs perform when the ball is not hit perfectly. These clubs perform well even when the ball does not hit the center of the clubface.

One more factor you must take into consideration is that this set does not come with a golf bag. Though this may seem like a hassle at the time it will likely save you money in the long run.

It is quite easy to find used golf bags at garage sales or used sports equipment stores. Purchasing a used golf bag along with this set is likely cheaper than purchasing a complete set that includes a golf bag.

Cost And Value

With a price tag sitting under two hundred dollars we found this Pinemeadow golf set to be an incredible value buy. A new set of clubs built for beginners at this price point is a great deal for anyone looking to get into golf.

If you’re looking to get your first set of new clubs this Pinemeadow golf set is a great option.

Offset Hosel

The first feature we’re going to cover of this Pinemeadow PGX putter is it’s offset hosel. This feature can be seen in the image above as the hosel (where the shaft meets the clubhead) is bent at a 90-degree angle.

This “Plumber Neck” style hosel allows you to improve your alignment and get a better look at where exactly your putter is aiming.

2X ORB Alignment

The offset hosel paired with the 2X ORB alignment makes it easy for beginner golfers to line up their putts properly. The 2X orb alignment refers to the two white circles seen on the back of the putter.

These circles ensure you line your putt up properly as the centerline that splits the white circles should be pointing where you want the ball to go.

Pinemeadow Spider Grip

This putter also features Pinemeadows Spider grip. This grip has great shock absorption and gives you great feel when making contact with the ball.

Massive Sweet Spot

The massive sweet spot built into this club is another great feature that makes this driver perfect for beginners and high handicappers. The driver face sits at the maximum allowed size of 460 cubic centimetres.

This huge sweet spot gives the club more forgiveness, meaning hitting off centre shots will often still create some great results. If you struggle with consistency in your golf swing this feature can be incredibly handy.

Matte Black Finish

The matte black finish gives this club that clean look you want from a golf driver. And though it may seem unimportant, having a good looking driver when addressing the ball can add some confidence and lower your nerves for your drives.

Pinemeadow PGX Wedge Review

This Pinemeadow PGX wedge is a great option for golfers looking to improve their short game without spending too much money. If you’re looking for a wedge to fill the gap in your short game this Pinemeadow club is a great option

Pinemeadow PGX Wedge Features

  • Three loft options
  • Increased Forgiveness
  • Steel shaft and standard Pine meadow grip

Three Loft Options

This Pinemeadow PGX wedge comes in three different loft options so you can be sure to find the club that you need most to fit your game. The three loft options are 52 degrees, 56 degrees, 60 degrees.

The 56-degree loft wedge is typically used as a sand wedge so if your looking for higher loft than that you may want to opt for the 60 degree. If you looking for a lower loft that will have more roll than the 52 degree will be your best bet.

Increased Forgiveness

This club is designed to have a wide sole at the bottom of the clubface. This sole narrows as it approaches the top. This allows for increased forgives on the club.

So if you’re a golfer that struggles to hit their chips in the centre of their wedge with consistency than this feature will be helpful to you.

This PGX wedge also features the same steel shaft and pine meadow grip that is seen in their Pinemeadow irons. This shaft is not up to the top tier quality of other name brand manufacturers like Titliest or Callaway but is still of good quality.

Cost And Value – Pinemeadow PGX Wedge

With a price tag sitting under thirty dollars this Pinemeadow wedge offers some serious value. Much like their other clubs this wedge is suited for high handicappers and beginner golfers.

If you’re looking to find more consistency in your wedges and are shopping on a budget than this Pinemeadow PGX wedge is a great choice.

Pinemeadow Excel EGI Hybrid Review

pinemeadow golf clubs hybrid

The last Pinemeadow golf club we are going to review is this Pinemeadow Excel EGI Hybrid. This incredibly inexpensive hybrid is another great option for beginner golfers looking to step up their game.

Pinemeadow Excel EGI Hybrid Features

  • 8 Different Loft Options
  • Can Be Used To Replace Irons
  • Bigger Sweet Spot

8 Different Loft Options

One great feature of this Pinemeadow hybrid is that it is available in many loft options. This loft of these hybrids begins at 19 degrees all the way to 45 degrees. The 8 loft options sit between 19 and 45 at three-degree increments.

These loft options offer a few benefits. First off it allows you to fill a gap in your bag. If you don’t have a club to hit far distances on the fairway or you struggle with low irons then a low loft hybrid may come in handy.

On the other end if you have a three wood but are looking for a higher loft club to hit from distance then these high loft hybrids may be what you’re looking for.

Iron Replacement Capabilities

Another interesting aspect is that some golfers are using these hybrids to replace their iron sets as a whole. If you find you have much better luck hitting your hybrids than you do irons than this may be a switch you should look into.

Hybrids typically have great forgiveness and are easier to hit than most irons. Since there are eight different loft options you would be able to replace your irons with the many loft options offered. And still have a set of clubs with a full range of lofts.

Large Sweet Spot

On top of these loft features, this model also has a larger sweet spot. Like the majority of Pinemeadow clubs, this model is built for beginners and high handicappers.

This means the sweet spot is built to be larger and offer more forgiveness. For golfers that struggle with consistency, this should be a welcome feature.

Headcover Included

This model also comes with a headcover included. This way you will not have to worry about your club heads banging together and chipping the paint off your new club!

Cost And Value – Pinemeadow Excel EGI Hybrid

With a price tag sitting just under fifty dollars this EGI hybrid is significantly cheaper than most options. With a great set of features for beginner and high handicap golfers, this hybrid is perfect for those looking to improve at the game.

  1. Poor quality and poor customer service. Bought a putter a little over one year ago and primemeadow golf will not stand behind it. Putter Head broke off with very little usage.
